Fact‑Checking-Policy

Fact‑Checking Policy

We verify instructions and claims before publication, document limitations, and re‑check after game or tool updates. Accuracy and player safety take precedence over speed.

What We Fact‑Check

  • Step‑by‑step instructions: PC/Android setup, executor behaviour, menu locations, and settings.
  • Outcomes & capabilities: What a workflow can/cannot do, typical errors, and success conditions.
  • Compatibility notes: Version numbers, platform constraints, and known conflicts.
  • External references: Official posts, change logs, and reliable community findings.

Verification Process

  1. Test: Run the steps on current versions with conservative defaults; record edge cases.
  2. Cross‑check: Compare with at least one reliable source (official or well‑maintained docs).
  3. Review: An editor validates clarity, risks, and whether claims are appropriately qualified.
  4. Publish: Add “Last updated” date and link to related guides for context.
  5. Monitor: After major updates, we re‑test and revise accordingly.

Evidence & Citations

  • We prioritise primary sources. Community sources are labelled and corroborated.
  • We avoid anonymous or untraceable claims, especially for sensitive steps.
  • Where uncertainty remains, we say so—no speculation.

Image & Media Checks

  • Screenshots/short clips are captured from real sessions whenever possible.
  • We avoid misleading edits (no added UI elements or altered claims).
  • Captions must reflect the exact scenario shown.

AI Tools

AI may assist with grammar or structure. Editors verify facts, steps, and safety notes. We never publish unreviewed AI outputs.

When We Cannot Verify

  • We remove or rewrite claims that we cannot reproduce or corroborate.
  • We include clear caveats for environment‑specific behaviour and list known limitations.
